DaliKrab Day Cessation Speech
by Justynn Tyme / 2006

I wanted to write and thank everyone individually, but I am sure we've all received as much email as we can stand in so short a time. Of course, I don't need to thank anyone because the day itself is all about those who participate and the work they create.

I feel the measure of worth of a person is decided by the number of those who share the dream and the enjoyment of that dream. We've all shared the same dream and to have produced such exciting and memorable works of art or anti-art would surely make the original Dadaist take notice. I am sure what we accomplished this week is something very near amazing and probably out of the realm of even the original dadaist / absurdists comprehension. I am honored to know such a motley crew of passionate and talented people.

Who could have known that Dalikrab Day would turn out to be such a riot. I, personally, would have never believe the intensity of it all if I hadn't experienced it first hand. The nature of the day has even surpassed the original idea itself.

The actual significance of Dalikrab Day is not directly visible but we had many different countries represented this week. Such as England, Finland, Canada, Holland and North America (Tennessee, Connecticut, California, Kansas, and Delaware) just to name a few. Also the fact that so many people were available at the same time to render, manipulate and email was truly awesome. Especially since man-made reality has such a hold on each of us in some way. See you next year!
