Recipes I Never Learned
The opportunistic chef and accidental cook.

CULINARY LEXICON:
Slop = dollop Pinch = small finger squeeze Inch = half a thumb
Brown = singe Mince = chop to bits Sear = fry till singed


SPINACH: SORREL
(bok choy or beet)


One clean bunch of fresh greens.

One egg, one tablespoon of flour,
One inch of milk or buttermilk in glass,
One slop of cream.

Pinch of salt and sugar.

Cover leaves with a small amount of water.

Boil spinach till tender and dark green. 10 minutes?.

Beat egg, flour, milk, cream, salt, pepper. (Sugar optional) to taste.

Stir with wooden spoon in saucepan for one minute or so, till creamy,

Add this sauce mixture to hot spinach

If your neighbor has no dandelions, don't trust his plantain or red clover either, herbicides may enter your food chain through his lawn.
